“Wedding White, Blackbirds and Dreams”

Barbara's work has ranged over the years from purely abstract to surreal, featuring symbols from her dreams, depictions of floating iconic women's garments from wedding dresses to her mother's bathrobe, and musings about the roles of women. Crows, eggs and nests figure in many of her works, even in her series of self-portraits in various headdresses, colors and historical periods.
