Encaustic, a mixture of beeswax and resin, was used by the Romans to paint sculptures and murals. These works of art are still colorful today. Artists love the look of this ancient art because it has a dreamy, misty quality. It is a unique and fun mixed media to try.

Students will create a floral or landscape painting on a wooden cradle board to take home. This is a fun class that encourages exploration and “play” as you work with this new medium.

This is an introduction to an encaustic class, for 16+ students only. No art experience is needed to take and enjoy this workshop. All materials are included in the cost of the class.

The workshop fee is $65.

Registration is required because there are only 5 seats available. If there is great interest another class will be scheduled.

**** Students need to wear closed-toe shoes and old clothing. This is hot wax material. We want all our students to be comfortable and safe.******

The workshop fee needs to be paid before the workshop. Please tell us which workshop you are registering for and your email.

You may register by direct message Impressions Fine Art or email
